so ive been playing stone block for a little while know and noticed that we have to portals one for mine and one for the others and wonder why the farm button isn't linked to the aroma mining dimension. yes i know you need to unlock it so why not edit the portal gui so that the farm world cost the frame block to build to portal then we would only have one and maybe wont have the portal break and say its not safe or something like that silly aroma portal cause i trust the good old obsidian portal more then that armoa one thanks to that. anyway it sounds good but if its too much work or just wont work i can understand just thought i would throw my to cents out and see what hit.
If I had to guess it is because the portal plugin/mod is universal across our servers so changing that would me manually changing each one without the dimension, coupled with our normal desire to use a normal farmworld versus aroma.
on most servers that have the aroma mining dimension the dimension is disabled or the portal is disabled if the dimension cannot be disabled due to issues with crashes and other mods. so why is Stoneblock different? Why do we have the aroma mining dimension and the farm world?
Going by the logic for PO Kappa leaving it enabled, it was a quest progression event, you worked hard to make the thing we let you enjoy it.
When I setup this server, I left the mod enabled for a couple reasons. 1) The questbook required items from that mod. 2) There wasn't any need for a full farm world like we do for a lot of our servers. When I think about setting up servers, I try to give players the most I can out of the modpack. Hopefully this makes sense.
It already does link to the mining dim if there is no farmworld but it looks like the dimension name was changed in 1.12. I updated it, please check if it shows as available with the next restart.
Please revert the farmworld portal linking to Aroma Mining Dimension, the aroma mining dimension is locked behind 2 quintuple compressed cobblestone blocks and is something that is intentionally difficult to get to.
then why not make the portal cost the frame blocks to unlock just like the other portal unlocks it has like how nether needs flint and steel and end needs eyes of ender or deep dark need deep dark portal the farm could cost the 12 portal frame blocks that aroma portal needs cause you need mining multi tool to make them i never said it had to be free its just that the obsidian portal doesnt break like the aroma does or at least hasnt for me.
nether portal is just obsidian then red stone a sign and a button it's easy. but aroma mining portal takes the mining multi tool that makes the portal blocks and lights it. to make the multi tool you need compressed cobblestone so it takes time and is not cheap. unlike getting some lava,water,redstone,and a little wood to make the obsidian portal. thats why i suggested to make it cost the aroma portal frame blocks cause you have to make the multi tool in order to make them or could make it cost the multi tool idk but free is not good unless we want easy mode.
