Did you at any point do /shop ingame and cycle though the filters

 

You'd have to go to into the shop and claim the kit. Fireforce has it right, if you go into shop and click the emerald to show starter kits it will tell you this is a mini kit this is a medium etc, from there you can click on a mini and it will be distributed to the server
