    Not really.
    Pvp -> God disabled
No pvp - > God enabled

If we want to have a godless server, it has to be a pvp server.

I think mym needs at least one pvp or anarchy-ish server. The ones we had in the past where all fun.

Sooo here's an idea, instead of considering having 2 nodes, one with perks and one without, how about doing basically the same thing but all on the same server, just have a second non-resetting overworld dimension and a second resetting nether+end dimension on each server where perks are disabled just in those dimensions, people who want to use their perks can do so in the perk enabled dimensions just as they normally would, people who want to challenge themselves more by not using perks can do so in the perkless dimensions and only have to compete for the resources of those dimensions with other perkless players (additional duplicate dimensions may be necessary depending on the modpack).

This should only result in a small increase in CPU time as it would still be the same number of total players (up to the server limit) they would just be spread out across more dimensions but not actually loading that many more chunks at any given time, the only real hardware impact would be the increase in the total map file size, but the world borders of all dims could be reduced slightly to compensate if disk space becomes a concern.

Obviously this wouldn't be as necessary on island type modpacks like sky factory or stoneblock where racing to find important finite resources isn't really an issue.

I don't think that would be the right pack for that. Also not much to blow up in the ow.

This is mostly how the nether works on AS1, some commands do not work for players, and pvp is enabled.

I'm all for a server such as the one you described, I know we have tossed around the idea of say an anarchy style infinity server every now and then. This might fill the need for a separate node without us experimenting with another unfamiliar pack like Nero, or something that doesn't really work with our current audience, such as our vanilla anarchy experiment. I would even suggest it to our event coordinator that we try this as an event and see how it works out. @Jitrid

You might not realize this, but I was actually a staff member back when the very first Agrarian Skies server launched on MyM :p

@chaosblad3 was the one who brought the cookie to Bee Happy.

Honestly that cookie thing was just a fun way for me to experiment with learning commandhelper scripts, but yea Bee Happy was the first modpack that I was responsible for setting up and launching during my time as an Admin, though relatively speaking that was quite some time after the original Agrarian.

I'm a little foggy on the timeline, but I believe I was only a Mod or a "Co-Admin" when AS first launched (back when the chain of command was literally just Mods->Co-Admins->Admins->Owners before all the restructuring and renaming of ranks started)

The good old days when the nether was on AS 1 was supposed to be hard and perks were disabled in it because of it, to not ruin player experience... I can remember them well. :woot:

Back then I actively coded for the network as well.

I remember those ranks... Ah the good old days.

Also to stay on topic I think a node with no perks would do well.

As long as it's not just a kitchen sink mod pack I would definitely agree!

If you want a pvp server, you would need a mod pack that is designed for it. Not many of them out there.

What about a tech based pack, no magic, with minimal recipe foolery?

Not pvp though as it is very hard to balance a pack for pvp and leave in about of the end game stuff.
