Mine your Galaxy - tier progression around the galaxy

Hey there MyM universe,

I'm proud to announce the Alpha Test-phase of the Mine your Galaxy Modpack.
The pack can be found on the Mine your Mind Launcher.

The modpack is built around the idea of space progression with different Tiers.
For example to start with Machines like MFR/Thermal Expansion/IC2 ect. You first need to visit the Moon to get the Materials you need.
A few other mods have also been added by me, just to make your life harder.
With Spice of life you can't eat any food more than once or twice before you get diminishing return on it.
So be advised to before even think about going to mine, you should definitely get yourself a farm with lots of different foods.
The mod 'pams' really helps here. You will not get pam seeds from grass, but pams plants are scattered over the world which give you a variation of different foods.
The modpack also includes Special mobs, so I really advise you to get a bed, or hide wherever you can during night-time!

Tier 4: Mars
Tier 5: Asteroids

On the left side are the mods which have/could have some item restrictions.
In the same Column I added items from these mods I want to restrict for different kind of space progression.

The Alpha is mainly for finding Bugs and balance issues. So please post any bug/balance issue in this thread!
The Alpha will go for at least 2 weeks.

After the Alpha there will only be a world reset if there are severe bugs or worldgen issues.

Yup, I brought that up in staff chat a few times, considering it kept crashing me on the server

Let's be honest, Most of us were at the edge of our seats with anticipation

 

Soo exited i want to get home already and play the pack and spice of life is not a problem lol when i was playing on bevo i have like 14 different food and a farm with selected ingredients n_n

just need to find some seeds or plants and i will be ready to go

Totally agree, it is indeed quite stable considering its a alpha modpack, and the idea behind having to travel to space to get more endgame items is very cool.

On another note: 100th post!

 

May u remove the mod , in which u cant eat more then a few times from the same food before it wont help u anymore... I have to take like 4 different food with me to survive...

 

Doesnt it add some complexity to the map though and when you continue into blood magic food comes unnecessary i think?

 

yes maybe but at the verry beginning its hard, some of my food will give me less then 1 hunger bar... i think thats not fair... the map is hard enough isnt it? u have to get to the moon to unlock specific things and it makes it even harder if u cant eat 12 potatos in a line because it wont help you...

So even if if you made through the tuff time you are stuck using 5 kinds off food which is just useless and annoying after you went to the nether it should end!, because since this moment it's not a problem, it's just annoying

 

Sorry one of my most favorite mods. Normally u wouldn't think twice about food. Now you have to. so than pls add power armor, and make it tier 4 or so

or remove spiece of life after tier 4 because after a certain time it takes no effort, just time!

 

Please don't complain about the mods, they're there to make it harder!
If you don't like the mods that were added, then don't play the pack :/

I like the food aspect of the survival, it opens up more to do, and forces you to play around with pams

 

well this is the idea, but it doesnt work that well...
