Remove your old java version on programs and features and reinstall your new java version.

Is java 7 the only java version you have on your machine?

First, please correct me if any of my assumptions are incorrect.
    • You are using a Microsoft operating system?
    • Said OS is 64 bit?
    • This is YOUR computer and not a family/friends computer?
    • You understand enough of basic computer comprehension to follow simplified instructions?

    Please read the following ONLY if ALL of the above is true;
    1. Download JAVA From HERE, grab both the "Windows Offline (32-bit)" & "Windows Offline (64-bit)"
      • Save both of them onto your desktop
    2. Go HERE, download the stable version
      • Also save this to your desktop
    3. Install JavaRa. Follow the install instructions on website and in program
      • After installing the program, run it.
      • Select the option to un-install ALL JAVA
    4. Restart your computer
    5. Go to the control panel and uninstall EVERY VERSION of JAVA on the computer.
    6. Restart your computer.
    7. Install the 32bit version of Java
    8. Restart computer
    9. Install the 64bit version of Java
    10. Restart computer
    11. Report back here when those steps are completed.

is 32bit necessary? i was under the assumption that having both had negative effects on your system. I personally only have 64x version on my machine

Necessary? Not that I know of, I just remember that when I installed only the 64bit version, Internet Explorer would continually ask me to install the 32bit version whenever I went to a website that used java. It has never caused me an issue to use both. Let me explore a little and get back to you on what is being said about using both.[DOUBLEPOST=1413060875,1413060607][/DOUBLEPOST]Choosing 64 and/or 32 bit Java (Java Platform Group, Product Management blog)
