Sometimes I don't want to guess a person's pronouns because they dont have it in their discord bios so I think there should be roles that people can get by reaction to a message that tells their pronouns

I think pronouns are a bit overrated. I think you only value them when you have to fight for it. I jokingly say my pronouns on the web are [What/Why], but then again , I'm so old I remember when the phrase "on the internet, noone knows your a dog" was ment as a joke. Now my neighbours cat has its own facebook account.

Besides, making them roles would again just restrict them to a set series of values, which is sort of against the point if you try to be generous with what you allow an individual to claim for themselves.

I've actually seen this done on a number of other discord, and could be handled as simple as we have for other roles like server announcements, server specific news, events etc. It would just not be tied to any "perks" and just be visible when you click someones username.

Usually they have 4 options, She/Her, He/Him, They/Them, and Please ask.

I ask but it would be more convenient to have a role system like you said

If we do this, we would give the options of She/Her He/Him or They/Them

I'd like to get @SirWill opinion on this, and if he likes it, to implement it.

You are missing the option "not your concern". Don't force people to declare anything, there are privacy laws after all.

I imagine if this does get implemented on Discord nobody is going to be forced into choosing a role to state their pronouns. It’s completely optional whether someone wishes to add their pronouns or not. In my opinion I don’t care if it gets implemented or not doesn’t really bother me.

Why stop here? why not pronouns titles too?

Also those pronouns will have special color rank? Does we really need it?
I considerer everyone GAMER/PLAYER bc, its server for Minecraft gaming community, if they tell me their pronouns I'll use them. In 99,9% i use just their @nick or "you".
When I enter new discord server, I am not checking the roles that server have, nor check the roles person i talk to have, with time i may be interest in those matters but most important is the vibe of server and for good vibe you dont need another rank 99% persons dont care about (only ranks that unlocks the private channels newcommers cant see matters)

We would never force this. These would be optional roles. Select a role or not, is up to you.
This would be up to him to implement since he controls the bots. Also, poll was created by the thread author.
No. Nothing besides it added as a discord role.

At the end of the day, nothing really changes. This is all for convenience. So I don't need to guess or ask someone on what they would like to be called.

Changed my vote to yes. Missed the part where this was just about discord roles. Reading comprehension is a skill I guess.

I honestly don't see any harm in having optional Discord roles for your preferred pronouns. If you don't want to participate, then don't. That being said, I do like the options mentioned: She/Her, He/Him, They/Them, and Please ask.

Why not write it in the "About me" field, which is shown when clicking on someone?

I want to toss in my vote as a definite YES please. I'm non-binary and don't really like being assumed to be one gender or the other. I missed the cut off on the vote it looks like but just for posterity, I say yes.

So heres my thoughts on it....
I personally think its a bad idea as it could Lead down some path to cyber bullying
I have seen I happen on a few discords Where even the admin openly stayed all streight ppl are of a lower class....
I Also couldn't Really care Much About it as its like vegans i don't mind it as Long as they don't force it onto me aswell....

But if its something players really want a new Much longer vote should be held whit a announcement on discord about X features
