This thread is where you can post your favorite combos and why. I have tested the different combos of these tools and have found what i think are the "best" for me. For tools i tend to use a steel tool head since in very easy to make using Railcraft and its not much lower then the nether ores. For my Weapons i use manyullyn even though it has the same damage as steel, i use it for its durability since i use paper in my builds. Also in my tools i tend to use an emerald for the 50% durability buff. Disclaimer: I am not saying these are the "best", im saying they are the best for me I Often Use Steel as my Tool Heads for easy repairs All tools and weapons have th e+3 modifiers from, Diamond/gold block, Golden apple/diamond block, Nether star Hammer- Cobalt head, Paper Plates, thaumium rod Modifiers: Silky, RedStone, Flux Pickaxe- Cobalt head, paper binding, Thaumium tool rod Modifiers #1: Max fortue, redstone, Flux This is a fast pick with good durability, you can add repair if you like to this also Rapier- Manyullyn sword, paper guard, Thaumium rod Modifier: Max out quartz for damage This is the kill all weapon when 1 v 1 or mobs are spread out Scythe- Manyullyn scythe head, paper binding, paper rod, thamium rod Modifier: Max quartz This weapon i see rarely used but it is one of the strongest in the pack. in a mob of mobs you hit all the mobs with the damage of the scythe, you can take out swarms in 1 or 2 hits where with a sword you need to hit each one. Cutlass- Manyullyn sword, paper guard, thamium rod Modifiers, Max looting, quartz This is my mob drop collecter when i need to kill mobs for items, Cleaver- Manyullyn sword, paper plate, paper rod, Thaumium rod 80% Beheading, Quartz till 20+ Damage, Flux I make a Second Cleaver with Max quartz only as my wither killer Bow- Green Slime Rods, Enchanted string Modifier, Max red stone Arrows- Alumite head, Slime shaft, Feather fletching modifier max quartz * you can change arrows in many ways, i sometime use cactus heads, Tip: Upgrade a stack of arrows at a time, to save resources on modifying them
Very nice tutorial! I think it will be very handy for everyone that is going to make some TiCon tools, and doesnt know what kind to go for
Most likely my favorite weapon in the game. I prefer to use the following materials and modifiers thou... Head: Manyullyn Binding: Paper Rod: Thaumium Rod: Manyullyn Mod #1: Max fortune / Looting Mod#2: Quartz This gives the max modifier slots and the best durability.
I like to make a luck pickaxe like this. manylium head, paper binding, thaumium tool rod. mod it with diamond block and notch apple gold block and diamond Nether star that's 9 mod slots Then I put leadstone energy cell for flux 448lapis and let it accumulate the rest for best luck and the rest is 300 redstone for op speed. And I make a silk pick the same way just swap the lapis for silky jewel. For swords I use rapier for armoured targets and special mobs that's manylium blade, thaumium guard and paper rod. All extra modifiers Full on lapis, flux and rest is quarts. For everything else I like the cleaver manylium blade, thaumium and paper for the rest. All extra modifiers mod with flux, and quarts. One shots most mobs.. I also make beheading cleaver with same Material setup as previously. But now I mod with 90% beheading, quarts and flux. I do sometimes just drop the flux on weapons and go full on quarts if I'm in the mood and have manylium to repair them. The other day I silk mined diamonds with a digital miner and picked it with my luck pick and got just over 1500 diamonds from 30min work. I'm happy with that I don't use hammers anymore. Because of the awful ghost blocks..
Depends on what mod pack, I'm used to having to have Three paper to get 2 modifiers. Same with Thaumium.
its TiCon, For some reason when you have double paper you can get 2x extra modifiers as long as its 2 differant parts, like rod and plates- The key is to mix it up and use Thaumiam as 1 of the three
