Goals for Agrarian Skies

    While we prepare for the upcoming months and the rollout of MyM 3.0 I have been asked to compile a list of goals, for the Agrarian skies servers, things that you would like to see done etc, I would like to ask you as players, what would you like to see happen? What would you like to see implemented?

    If possible -

    • More quests added
    • Better rewards from the reward bags
    • As many exploits removed as possible - e.g, the one a certain player announced in the chat earlier regarding an item and before nether access :(
    • Maybe something where players who have visited the nether can trade/buy with one another? - If buying, each item must be sold at the price the item is selected to be sold at.. (maybe even a public market of shop signs available after you've gone to the nether, but make most of the items expensive, so they're not completely forced to spam them, unless they're either rich or just completely desperate)
    • MineYourMind coins to be more valuable than just extra lives and some reward bags
    • More Islands available
    • Better leveling process (Rather than just 'pretty blocks' and you're good to go)
    • Nether to be more tricky, lets be honest.. the place isn't that hard to confront

    Maybe farms, maybe mobs spawned (nevermind, don't know why I even suggested this, lagfest anyone :eek:), maybe the amount of chests you have (just idea's, but I'd like to see more things to level my island with, since I personally dislike using all of the vanilla 'valuable' blocks, although yeah, some people do like these, and I respect that, I'd just prefer to level my island without personally making it look ugly :(

    As I understand it, the level is calculated by specific blocks and how many you have, with each type of block contributing a different amount of points. (please correct if I am wrong)
    I would add most , if not all, of the modded blocks to the list for island levels. This would induce players to expand there base with a wider variety of blocks.

    This would also be interesting if reward only blocks contributed more so to the island level versus blocks that are craftable.

    I would hope in the upcoming months JadedCat's new packs will replace this pack... =)
    one can only dream for Agrarian 2.

    We have discussed this, we put together the config to calculate island level and decided it would be very very time consuming to put together a list involving 5000+ blocks (the vanilla list took forever). There is a long post about it somewhere around here. I am all for the idea, but the time involved would just be insane and imo not worth it for such an "old" pack.

    Ben, more quests is a great idea and I'd be all for it, it's just another time thing. To write AG+ quests, I think knoxz spent ~2weeks on it. I love quests, wish they were on all servers tbh. Can you imagine a quest line for all mods in say TPPI? That would lead to some amazing experiences. (And quite the headache for staff).

    We discussed the changes to reward bags as well, if I remember correctly we can't change those for some reason. Maybe that has changed since we last looked into it.

    More islands is a good idea, I could see this moving forward. (Up to Charles)

    We are always wanting to squash exploits, unfortunately details like "An item can exploit" doesn't allow us to do so.

    It's a pity about the quests, I know a lot of players get bored with the quest book after a while, including me, I mean I don't even do the quest book on Crashlanding/Agrarian, because I feel it has a boring story, and no motive but crappy rewards tbh :(

    It's a pity to hear about the reward bags, guessing they're lied in with the HQM mod's private config?

    I'd also like to see more things available prior to after entering the Nether -
    Any chance we could have more achievements also, or is that done by the HQM mod too?

    This is going to be in the works very shortly. <3 this idea

    Good Idea, will have to run this buy Slind and the Admin team before moving any further.

    Will you expand on this idea? What more would you like to see available.

    Great, I thought he was the one that coded them, I could have sworn. Meh, either way, I do remember it being quite the process to get them incorporated.

    I ran 4k blocks thru the nether with no armor/weapon either. I think it's too easy too. Also anyway to fix the warp to a new players island with ur luggage and give them free stuff. That shouldn't be allowed. Also massively support the Market Idea!

    This in the past has been against the rules and has resulted in bans, seems the rule has slowly been forgotten or become more lax. There is to be no trading at all until the player reaches the nether, doing so beforehand breaks the pack with how it was intended, otherwise just dropping items or placing them in TC tables would work too... finding loopholes doesn't mean it's ok. So, saying that, I agree. Maybe we should start reinforcing that rule again.
