Implemented Vote on Gendustry for Dark Trilogy

It is my opinion that Gendustry should be removed from The Dark Trilogy. I believe that it makes bees to easy and makes me no longer interested in doing them. I was looking forward to the challenge. This is a progression Pack after all. Cast your vote and opinions please.

 

I agree 100% here.
I love bees because they are/were one of the few things that you can really spend a lot of time on.
Bee, tree and Butterfly breeding always intrigued me. I was waiting to really get into a pack i would stay on for long time in 1.7. That pack is TDT but now that gendusrty is there, i feel it makes bees way to easy.
On the FTB forums even Tfox said even changing recipes cant balance this mod.

Edit: Saying all that above is my opinion the videos below changed my vote. Watch the first video at least till the end. he makes a very good point about power usage and the "best" option when you get to the end game

 

If you don't like it, then why are you using that mod. Use Forestry's bees.

Bees are very powerful creatures with forestry you will learn to love and hate them at the same time it is so rewarding when you get that one bee (princess and drone) and 2 generations later they mutated back and you have to think why.
You have to work and think and sometimes hope to get a pure bred.
With gendustry you dont get that... toss one bee in there an a second one and choose... thats all and you get a pure bred in minutes.
You dont have to think with genustry and you will not learning to respect the bees for what they are.
I love the whole bee breeding with foresty and gendustry takes that away.
Is it selfish that i want that everyone shares the same feelings?

With genustry you can get every bee within 2-3 days (try that with foresty)
This is game and progression breaking!

With gendustry bee "breeding" is so easy that this modpack is not balanced anymore!

I know what i said above sounds maybe like let us keep gendustry but that was not my intention!

 

Bee's are always fun to use your time on. sometimes when you dont want to deal with machines and magic, bee's are just plainly awesome to play with. My favorite feature with it is that it takes time, so yeah i agree.

I know that gendustry is a little cheaty but I personally would never do bees without it because it consumes enormous amounts of time. I would suggest going for harder recipes (like iridium plates or nether stars) instead of banning it all together because once you have the resources to make advanced stuff like iridium plates, you are already end game enough.

Iridium plates dont require to be very end game. Moorian and i have already made 12 or so. And making the recipes harder doesnt solve the issue. Its the mechanics of how bee breeding works tha Gendustry is ruining.

 

If you don't like it, why use it? Just ignore it. Some players like using it.

Why remove it? What happens when everyone takes all the bees from most of the minecraft world? How am I supposed to even be able to do bees if I can't get any. Gendustry allows me to make bees so I can actually do them.

 

Yea i know well i guess we will have to buy them :/


But tell me if i am wrong but is there not like a primal specie where you can make the others from
