We have switched from id's to material names and I think the command to get the material name is op only atm.
Issue is that the ritual has multiple rituals, not just the night one. Can we attempt to disable that specific ritual instead of the item? If not I understand.

Did some looking into the configuration files, the one you want to open to disable specific rituals is AWWayofTime.cfg. Unfortunately, looking through it I am unable to find any way to turn off the imperfect rituals... That's something that should probably be brought up with the creator of the mod.
While this is true, the Imperfect rituals dont have names and are not part of the config. The server however can ban the item completely since it is not need for any of the strong rituals.
why so sad? This block really is only used to make it rain and turn it night. You can spawn a zombie or get Resistance II for 1 min... but thats kinda useless...lol
i told someone earlier, use more diverse power sources, because they relied 100% on solar power, but it shouldn't really be a problem, most people don't use just solar power (it's not that good)
Because I prefer to only have items banned that actual cause a server performance issue. As there are other ways to generate power, I feel that this is more of a convenience issue then anything else. I also think that because there are modded was to turn it day time, then if we are banning items that change time to night, then ALL items that change time/weather should be banned for completeness. But then again this is a personal opinion and also not my modpack.
So we should ban beds? I joke, but more people get angry about the night then the day. More people cry about the rain then the sun. So banning all these items really isnt needed. Just this imperfect ritual... also how do you make power with it? It literally only does 4 useless things.
The thing with beds is that it only works if enough players use it. So it's a community process... These rituals, however, can be carried out by one person alone.
Id really hate it as a new player to start out in an allways night world. And beside it wont hurt me that much since i dont rely on solar alone, its one of the power choices players can make. And to cut their power "out of fun" is nothing else then griefing.

getting rid of the rain and night on tppi is such a fun project i dont think you should ban stuff like this. and its actually achieveable in different ways so if you have enough solars to be dependend on them you should check out possibilities to keep them running. weather is to be controlled!
The only reason I can think of for a person to make it night would be if they have butterflies or bees that are nocturnal, which really does require it to be night.
That's why you can change it in the config. Each server can toggle on/off each of the weak rituals like they could the main rituals =)
