Logged out early this morning from my island and all was good. Log in this evening and am in the airport. Didn't die before logging, and had 2 sync's set up with a chunk loader. Not sure what happened, but is there any way I can get my island back? According to /is home I have no island, but doing just /home it takes me to coords are 1800, 22508.
Can you provide details as far as what time you got offline. Also what time aprox you logged back in.

Hmmm, I know we set up 2 sync clones for him. Will ask him where he died, but if he died near the ship, which I assume he did, why wouldn't one have worked? A question then, does that means if anyone on your team dies that it resets the whole island if they can't respawn?
Chunk loaders only load if the owner is online, so if you placed them and you are not online it doesn't load the chunks. Yup.
Yes, I know about chunk loaders not working if the owner isn't on. I guess my next question is, if he died near the base, with a clone available, wouldn't those chunks be loaded since he was either in them or near enough to them, and therefore his clone should have worked? Or am I misunderstanding how clones are supposed to work on the server. Of course this is based on me assuming he died near the ship and wasn't a dumbass and tried going to the city for his first ever time in this modpack without some backup. Also want to say thanks for taking time to answer my questions.
I don't know where he died but yes if he is near them he should get in to the clone but if he closes the game during the sync it will cancel it.
well talked to him and he was killed near the ship, got knocked off our walls at night and fell outside and was killed almost immediately. Said he clicked the button to respawn and he was immediately thrown to the airport. Like I said we had 2 sync clones set up for him and with him being near the ship they should have worked...so sounds like it bugged. Not gonna worry about it, just gonna restart an new island, but its annoying since it seems like it was a bug that reset the island.
There is a bug in the sync mod where the syncing freezes and you need to kill minecraft. That's how it looked like 20-30 minutes before the death btw:
