Implemented Ban Flim Flam

I woud prefer if u banned flim flam. or anyone that using it. som ppl cant resist hiting other ppl at spawn. i almoste loste all my stuff do to flim flam. flim flam is bypassing pvp. and its only causing problems and bad blood.

 

Would have to agree as this enchant serves no actual useful Purpose.

• Players hit with it lose "luck"
• Luck can not be gotten back.
• Low levels of luck cause many negative effects.

 

I don't really see why it should be banned, it doesn't bypass pvp, the effects it causes don't physically hurt the player attacking them. All the effects that it causes are here: Flim Flam Enchantment - Official Feed The Beast Wiki, even the creepers that spawn don't deal damage. I use it so that people stop attacking me at spawn as I find it annoying to get hit when trying to buy stuff from the market. If you don't want to gain the effects from flim flam, just don't hit people at spawn that have enchantments on their armor. And if you drop your items and the player with flim flam doesn't give them back, just report them, as it's the same as stealing.

 

sounds like a good reason to ban it.

 

it can go on SWORDS AND STICKS, did you know that?, and it can DROP your armor, and mix up your inventory, it's quite annoying

 

But the only reason you'd ever get affected is if you're just going around attacking people........

 

or people are messing with you or people are using it in pvp....

 

Then thats griefing, and the player doing that should be punished, not the enchantment

 

what about in pvp?

But to me it looks like the whole argument for it being removed is "I don't like it because bad things happen to me when I hit other people". Maybe it could be left in but barred from use in PvP fights.

If I get hit by a weapon with film flam I loose my item. I loose my luck and there is nothing I can do about it?

Ban flim flam.. I paid for my luck..
I don't want some random to be able to affect what I paid for without my concent..

We are talking about when your NOT in pvp.

As it can be put onto a stick/sword/etc and You can get hit with it from somebody else, this is where the problem comes in.
