I seen here: FTB News - March 20th, 2015 | Feed the Beast Jadedcat confirms these packs are available to download on the new curse launcher. I was wondering if anyone has tried this launcher yet and packs. On a side note.... im not a fan of this new launcher. Its trying to incorporate too much to minecraft. If i want communication i will use Teamspeak, Not this curse voice trash. @Founder i hope you keep your launcher up to date with pack even if your not running a server of it. I have a strong feeling soon people will not "like" the FTB launcher.. then i can plug links to this launcher all over the web...lol. As soon as its out of Beta i would promote this launcher.
We will not, this would be unfair towards ftb and curse. We use the launcher in order to be able to supply config changes, new recipes, crash fixes and ofc the extra mods. If we would take over their traffic, that wouldn't go good.
have you tested this new curse launcher? Its curse voice with a "new" feature that allows you to install mod packs. [DOUBLEPOST=1427163700,1427148144][/DOUBLEPOST]This launcher is horrid. 1. It create folders everywhere. in User documents, 2 different folders in roaming...ect 2. BY default it installs as a start up program. 3. It enables an ingame overlay like steam which can cause performance issue from some people, by default it is enabled... you can disable it. Many other things... I will not be using this shitty launcher, i will uninstall it. i hope FTB doesnt force players to use this. its annoying more then anything, Its like they are promoting Curse voice by adding MC launcher to it. I will stick to Team speak and MultiMC or MyM launcher
The only + to this launcher is the download count. I heard that a lot of mod creators would love to know the accurate number of downloads. That is also the reason why some modders don't give permission to use them in a pack. As far as I know no other launcher does this. And I can understand why it's an important number to have as a mod creator. @Slind I don't know anything about coding but implementing a counter into the MyM launcher? Just my 2 cents Greets Mayura.
My only complaint with the Curse launcher is the lack of a console to see when your client legitimately freezes up.
