Since joining the server a few days ago the one task I've spent the bulk of my time on is making a set of Modular Power Armour so I could use it's Jetpack flight system because I consider it to be the best flight method any FTB mod has to offer, and also having already generously donated for Tier 2 straight after joining I can't really afford/justify donating up to Tier 4 (which in total costs about the same as a Triple-A retail game, and like 4 times what I paid for my minecraft account in the first place) for access to /fly, and frankly don't like the idea of buying flight when with a bit of hard work, I can legitimately obtain it through MPS. But now, having put the vast majority of the resources I've gathered thus far into getting said Power Armour and installing the Jetpack module I keep getting kicked into the lobby every time I try to actually fly anywhere! This really doesn't seem fair as it doesn't say anywhere in the /rules or /banneditems that Power Armour flight isn't allowed, so can you please add a bypass or something to my account so that I can fly with my hard-earned Power Armour without getting constantly kicked into the lobby?!
@chaosblad3 we did not disable the flight mode of the power armour. I think the default vanilla settings are triggering and think it is a fly hack. Please try it again with the next restarts and notify me about the resutls. Btw. there are plenty of other mods which add fly, like advanced genetics, thaumcraft, industrialcraft, rotarycraft..
Yeah i figured it was the vanilla config option that was causing it, i just don't know many FTB servers that don't have the config set to allow it... guess you guys just forgot or something Also, I do know there are alternatives to Power Armour flight, believe me I've tried them all, but in terms of control over speed and manoeuvrability, I've yet to come across one that does it as well as the way MachineMuse designed hers!
I respect that you donated to tier 2. Keep in mind however that tier 4 doesn't just give fly, but it helps the server
Well now the ps is banned and it did not show in the./banned items and I spend bud lots of time to make it and boom! Wasted!
I'm sorry if you were already working on power armor before it was "banned", but the fact is that it was moved to being a Tier 1 donor perk for good reason, unlike most other armor types, mps is a very hungry mod in terms of the server resources it uses, and being so popular, having loads of people flying around in it can have a noticeable impact on server performance... Moving it to Tier 1 so that only people who have actually contributed some money to the server to help pay for it, is a far better alternative to removing MPS from the server entirely. Also, I hate to sound like I'm giving a sales pitch here, cause I don't get paid for being a mod or anything like that, but Tier 1 only costs €5~$7, which is a small price to pay really to be able to use your power armor again, and not only that, but support the server at the same time.
