Umh, well hoppers got banned (still have no idea how to replace their function on the 2-3 i really needed) and vanished. But why did my Shaft Power Buses vanish as well ? Any plans on also killing the ender conduits ? Id have to replace them with multiple TE conduits which i dont think will be healthier for the server. And nope, there are enough occasions where the extra utils power pipes wont work/connect.
I'll have to come look at your setup after I get back from work to see why the extra utilities pipes aren't working, cause I've never had a problem with them..
Well mainly i have some semi-manual setups where i need to automatically/manually fill about a chest worth that is the sucked into the machine, guess ill try the te itemducts but im a bit worried about reports that clag eats items in them. Sample : The right machine takes bee traits samples, non stackable, and needs ages for. They go into lower chest, i take out what i want, then pull the lever and let the content go into the other chest where the samples are burned for reuse.[DOUBLEPOST=1396020060,1396019907][/DOUBLEPOST] All RC Apis seem to hate them : Soo .. theres this workaround : Which makes random disconnects. Which is kinda uncool if its powering the emergency shutdown unit for your nuclear reactor...
Ah i see your point, best thing to do is put an RS energy cell directly behind the engine instead of just rs conduit so it will have a decent buffer, though to be honest, the transfer pipe should keep an RS cell at constant full charge no problem anyway. Also, I think if you use the actual energy transfer pipe (red tinted) instead of normal transfer pipe, then you shouldn't have that RC message anymore. Also, with your bee situation, you can use 1 item transfer node placed against the bottom of the chest to replace your hopper, it will do exactly the same (auto pull from the chest and dump into first available inventory that the pipe end connects to, in this case the furnace).[DOUBLEPOST=1396023381,1396023207][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, since you're using them, are there any appreciable benefits to getting bee traits using the gendustry machines as opposed to the extrabees machines? I'm using the extrabees ones atm as haven't messed with gendustry much yet..
Well ill have some more tests with the XU pipes, just hope i dont log in to see my whole conduits disappeared before i was ready. Gendustry is like Extrabees on crack. It uses a lot of diamonds and eats RF like nothing but : 1. You get the adv. mutator, which is a 100% mutation to the species you want. 2. The process of isolating traits is a bit more resourcefull too, since bees die every extraction. But if you got the traits you can combine them in a single Sample Pattern and inject all of the traits in just one process into the bee. Not like that RNG-20 times for one trait like in extrabees. And refilling and purifying is also gone this way. 3. The industrial apiary with upgrades eats rf too, but is as efficient as an alveary with 12 frames. If you want a tour ...[DOUBLEPOST=1396026679,1396023870][/DOUBLEPOST]The item transfer odes fail at machines like induction smelter (2 input slots)
On my phone atm so can't check exactly how or quickly explain it, but I know there is a way to supply an induction furnace properly with XU pipe.. ill be back from work in about 4 hours so ill come take a look at your bee stuff and help you with the pipes then I already have the adv. mutator on m2 and used the industrial apiary briefly on m1 just before m2 launched, but didn't realize you could combine traits using gendustry so I look forward to trying that XD the fact that it burns through a lot of bees and RF won't be a problem for me though!
Shaft Power Busses vanished again [DOUBLEPOST=1396094048,1396093052][/DOUBLEPOST]An it f***** up my whole energy system. Seems i have to wait for a restart and hope it fixes it. - nvm, found a way to reboot it.[DOUBLEPOST=1396102973][/DOUBLEPOST]And they just poofed again ...[DOUBLEPOST=1396291208][/DOUBLEPOST]Went good again for nearly 2 days, now poofed again. Did you change smth. on item ban settings ?
Nope nothing, the only items which are banned and have the ID 30872 is 30872-99, 30872-81 and 30872-71
The shafts did start to disappear when hoppers were removed. If they have the 30872-xx ids i think its the ban mechanism not working correctly and also removing my shafts...
Yip and all of a sudden. They cant explode or similiar (the controller could, but he stays in place).
Ok then it's not related to the ban, as the item ids given are not directly mappable to block ids. The actual block I'd will be something totally different.
my shaft bus all vanish together suddenly, only the shaft bus controller (different sub id) stays in place.
