So last night I decided to launch Regrowth and test it out. Took me over 20 minutes to launch and over 10 minutes to join the server. Once I finally got onto the server and did /rt, you know the usual looking around at everything. As I was doing all this I noticed that I was lagging non stop. Pressed F3 and come to find the whole time I was playing I only had but 2 Fps, left the server and made a singleplayer world to see if my fps was any better. Still at 2 Fps. I wanted to know if I could anyway at all make my fps better?

Have you tried adding more ram to your minecraft? Can be configuered In the MYM Launcher! It worked for me (Took me from less then 15fps on infinity to over 35) :)

Well considering that I use a laptop I don't know if my laptop would be able to survive adding more, but I don't know what the best settings would be for me.

This pack schouldnt require more than bteam. Maybe the installation is corrupted.

So I increased my Minimum memory to 2,023 my maximum memory to 4,048 and permgen to 1,056. I loaded regrowth and join the server. It didn't take as much time to do so as usual but instead of having 2 fps it's going back and fourth between 1 and 2 fps.

I believe chrome is known for eating up lots of RAM. Try quitting it and see if that helps.

I use it too, but Firefox uses the most CPU of all the browsers.

How is your performance on other modpacks?

It may not be the ram issue. I even highly doubt it. Because dedicating more ram to java can be counterproductive in some cases.
I've had once given 6GB of ram out of my 8, and Minecraft filled it in less than 10 minutes. Later found out java didn't delete dumpfiles (or something like that cant remember), and the use all of the ram you dedicate to minecraft.

I do way better on other mod packs than I do on Regrowth. I have played mod packs that are far more complex and don't do as bad as Regrowth does. Every other mod pack I ever player I usually always have at least 15-30 fps.

I'll try and download regrowth, i want to see what impact does it have on my setup. Maybe it is heavy.

    edit:

Started regrowth with 2GB allocated memory. FPS on other modpacks and this are the same. But what have i noticed it fills ram pretty quicky up to 1.5GB after less then a minute and then sets back to 700mb and starts filling up again.

Maybe someone more experienced can help you with it.

try optimizing your graphics options, make the graphics "fast" no bobbing, no clouds, etc. etc., make sure you have V-sync ON
