TPPI Shutdown 26th April

    With less than 0.03 online players on average and 0 new players within the last week we will shut down the server. We have 3 new servers in active development and 2 more fully planned. As TPPI requires a lot of resources even without players this will free up space for 2.

    Base download request as always by posting the coordinates below this post.

    I would have tried to play on it if it was not fully in German lol, but yay, new packs! ^_^

    While i was able to play on the server since my location... It was never said "english" speaking players couldnt play. Only that the main chat was to be deutsch.

    That being said, TPPI is a great pack, and one of the few good GT packs around.. With TPPI2 not having gt currently... its safe to say tppi1 might be the better of the two.

    Packs i think should go are, Mineyourgalaxy, Resurrection, Death is expected.... Those 3 packs are good but players just dont like them as much as others.

    If my opinion matters, i would reset TPPI as a brand new opening but also open it up as an international pack. Meaning anyone can join and switch it over to English. In the future, if the server plans to have an all german server... also include a second node thats English. Sadly most of the players are American... and americans only know 1 or 2 languages, English and/or spanish... While majority of Germans have some understanding of English

    It is difficult to determine if a reset and international setup would populate it again. The pack it self has a few nasty bugs where the source is unknown and strikes on chunk load/unload. (ConcurrendModificationExceptions)
    Any idea on how we could analyze it?
    • Google Trends => not enough search queries, impossible to separate tppi 1 and 2
    • Vote => tends to be extremely inaccurate as you are not forced to play when you vote yes and many don't even know the pack

    english spanish french chinese* those are the big languages in america, english, then chinese (at least in my area) spanish, and then a multitude of other languages, although like 5 states speak alot of german XD

    You maybe right on the searches. But it does seem TPPI is still a big pack among servers that only run that pack. I guess leave it to them to run it... I for one put TPPI in my top 3 packs, With Ultimate, TPPI and BnB,..
    Worste case just close the server and see if people request to have it set back up. As for the Chunk loading/unloading bug, that was caused by mechanism cables i think, i forget the exact ones.... But i have a few friends that run TPPI servers, i will ask them.[DOUBLEPOST=1429466843][/DOUBLEPOST]Edit: It looks like people are already makng TPPI2 servers... i guess forget TPPI1...

    I don't know, but I would assume the demand for ultimate higher than tppi 1.

    my views on ultimate might be opposite to the rest of the community. while i do love the pack, I am not sure if myself or others will actually play it. The lack of TiCon, Carpenter blocks, Chisel...ect... Might make it be just a waste of resources.

    But if you did get a chance to read the post before the snip.... YOU are reading my mind again... why must we always do that...lol

    I agree on these choices for the three packs that need to go, I hardly ever see players on them.

    I loved Ultimate edition, though I would still love to see a custom pack for rpg style play come from MyM ^_^

    I wonder how many people would play Ultimate.

    Also @Slind Resurrection Reborn is being worked on, and will not beable to use old Resurrection world. Greg has change so much in this version of GT that the FTB team are remaking resurrection.
