Hey, I'm fairly experienced in Thaumcraft, haven't played through it previously on the Mine Your Galaxy server; however, this version has me somewhat confused. I can't seem to create any research notes? All of the research has been changed to the "purchase with points" variety, rather than creating notes and then working the research table "mini game". The research mechanic always allowed me to spend my research points in a way that allowed for more efficient spending. i.e. I didn't have to spend water points if I could work my way across the board in some other aspect combination. The result of this setup is that there seems to be no way to advance the research tree other than sitting for hours on end just tediously clicking the deconstruction table, or by flying around the moon scanning hundreds of nodes to refresh my pool of primal aspect research points. What am I missing? Is this just an older, unbalanced version of Thaumcraft? Or has it been configured in this way in this modpack so that people didn't have to spend as much time in the research game? Any tips?
I haven't played Agrarian skies for a l0ng time. But what I have done in singleplayer is just scanning all the nodes. If you have any form of flight you can go to a low Y level where all the nodes are and scan those for more points. Don't know if that's a valuable option.
AG+ has the 1.6.4 version of thaumcraft a older version which is very different from its 1.7 counterpart
it's thaumcraft easy mode, jaded is evil, deal with it and alot of people don't want to do the research
She is Evil.. i remember last time when i was trying to create a greatwood sapling what a mess and it will be for those who don't know how to deal with altar stabilization
Thanks for the responses. Now I know I'm not going crazy. I'll make another trip to the moon to try to get enough points to finish the research.
