Hello. I am posting this on behalf of Zeids. He's out right now, so I thought I'd make a thread for him. I've already made a ticket for this, but in case anyone else could see this and could help, any sort of help would be appreciated. As most of you know, when you drink a Brew of Sleeping, you get teleported to the Dream World (Spirit World), your Overworld items do not get crossed over to the Spirit World. Whatever you have in your invent, you won't be able to bring them with you. You have nothing on you. Overworld stuff remain in the Overworld, and Spirit World stuff remain in the Spirit World (unless it's a special Witchery item). It was the same for us. We had nothing on us when we drank the Brew of Sleeping. And like what happens normally, when we would die from Nigthmares, we would wake up in the Overworld, not bringing anything back from the Spirit World EXCEPT Disturbed Cotton. We went back to the Dream World again since we were able to make a Dream Weaver and were able to go there without Nightmares. We were able to get some Wispy Cottons but we didn't really know how to get out, (since we can't die from lava, we can't die from drowning, and we didn't have icy needles on us). We thought of using /suicide. Only Zeids did it since he just needed to wake up my sleeping body from the other side. However, when he did that, I was surprised. His parachutes, masks, and stuff appeared before me ,who was still in the Spirit World. And when I looked, he had a grave there. I tried to grab his parachutes thinking maybe if I woke up, perhaps these things would come with me. But they didn't. He tried going there again, and his Overworld stuff were all there in the Spirit World! I don't know if this is a bug, mod/plugin incompatibility or what, but if it is, I'm happy to report it. And I'm also hoping for your assistance since most of the stuff he lost weren't exactly easy or cheap to get. Some of those stuff, we made while working together. Some of the stuff he had on him were some of the stuff I made as well, so you can say I also lost some stuff in the process. Please, we would humbly ask for your kind assistance on this matter. >__< Thank you for taking the time to read this long post. EDIT: To make the long story short, his Overworld items that weren't there when we were in the Spirit World all dropped in the Spirit World when he died. We can't get them back and so we're asking for help. EDIT: Actually, I talked to him again. The items weren't in the grave in the Spirit World as well. This is a very critical glitch/bug. Hope admins could look into this.
short end of the story, /suicide kills your player and drops items in the dimention their in in the area their at, and since it's instant the spirit world doesn't teleport you to your body in the overworld, so my thing is, nj, and drowning and lava are the two ways to get out without the nightmare there if you don't have icy needles, you could have also died of fall there, or be at least 1/2 a heart for the effect to activate, this would be a job for a Senior-Moderator
There are "ways" to bring items from the spirit dimension back into the overworld. However, these ways are not meant to be there and probably count as an exploit.
As I've mentioned in my post, we could not die out of lava, drowning, hard falls because we had genes to counter those. We also had higher HP. Waiting for death would've taken time. And I see, we did not know that /suicide would do such a thing. We only thought it would kill you and that's it. Thanks for the information. It's good info to know. Oh, thanks for this. It's that's great to know there's a way. And I guess if a mod does it to help recover items, I guess it wouldn't be counted as exploit? I don't need to know the process, but just knowing it's possible to help recover the items is good enough for me. Brings hope. For now, waiting for suggestions or if there's anything I could do on my side to help on this.
That if you die in the Spirit World, the Overworld items you had prior to sleeping disappear as well?
So you mean like if i go to spirit world (Not Nightmare) and since i couldn't drown/burnt/fall damage due to my genetic. So i gonna stuck in spirit world forever ? i don't have icy needle with me though. But then i typed /suicide just so that i can get back to the Overworld. But turns out i died in the spirit world and all of my stuff are gone. and some of my stuff from Galacticraft are in spirit world. Does that mean it was made this way too ? Cause to be honest this is totally unreasonable though
It is normal that the Items you have in the spirit world stay in the spirit world, except a few exceptions. As far as i understand, the issue in this case, is that he suicided in the Spirit World and the items from the overworld were lost.
The way it seemed to me is he could not get out of the dream world did /suicide and his gravestone and items went to the dream world. This is not where his physical body is so his gravestone should not have dropped there. I believe what he wants to know is how he could get his gear back to the overworld.
Yes. However, I would like to edit a few things from my original post since we attempted to go back there again. Going back into the Spirit World, it seems only the Galacticraft items remained in the Spirit World. The rest (weapons like cleavers, tools with modifiers like manullyn excavators, items like witches hand/mystic branch, et cetera) disappeared.
In your ticket I would advise linking this thread so who ever winds up working this case for you has as much information as possible.
Simple fix get all items to and from the Spirit World. Simple put them on the market for 10k myms. As for doing /suicide, don't
We've moved on from the lost items. But I would suggest a warning for those attempting to go there would be nice :3
