A group of dark and thoughtless mages corrupted the essence, and with it came the taint. Uncontained, the taint spread until it destroyed everything in it's path. Only one mage remains, the master of the three magics. In order to protect what was left of the pure magic, the great mage put himself into stasis until the time came to revert the disaster. This is great news. I am really enjoying these lite weight packs.

 

Never really have done much with magic mods. Saw Hubris on the launcher yesterday or the day before and read up on it...really want to give this a go, sounds like fun.

 

When i was a kid, i loved watchin "Castle in the Sky"
I also thought of it as a magical movie(even though it didn't have magic)

Seeing as this pack is nothing but magic, makes me want to build something like this:

I was going to wait to see what happens when a certain pack that im waiting for comes out to build, but i think i will make an exception for this pack.

 

Finally another pure magic pack on MyM. Might play this one as the last one named "Pure magic" (don't think MyM hosted it) was boring

well, ill be on once daybreaker gets boring, nice to see both of them added, just don't know why it hasn't happened sooner, the pack(Hubris not daybreaker) has been out for months now.

 

I don't know if this is why, but I know the mod author recently made some changes that theoretically would massively help performance (something re crusted taint turning to goo at the beaches?). I probably wouldn't have tried playing it in an SMP environment before that change, personally. It was a little rough on my machine.

Make a Hubris support thread? Also Hubris has been crashing every 5-20 mins today.

 

Well the crashes every 5-15 minutes might have something to do with it.

 

Hubris is on a BETA fase.

 

Well, even thought it is a BETA, is there any news on when it will be more stable? And also, since it is so unstable, it would be REALLY nice if, when stability is restored, the powers that be would reset the world so we can all start fresh without the issue of drop-drop-drop-etc. I ended up dying a few times...a couple due to the instability of the server.

I was excited about the pack because it's got a questing book, but isn't as HC or PVP as other questing mod packs. I will say that there are a couple of mods on the pack that I just can't stand, but I'll live....lol. The other reason I was excited was because the early game is my favorite part of any game. Later on, when resources are plentiful and you don't even worry about having anything you need, it gets a little boring for me. That's when I begin to lack incentive and want to start all over. lol

Considering we're playing a lot on the server you might like a reset, but other people that are playing on the server might not. Would you mind having a reset soon after you finish the Thaumcraft 4 research?

All you need to do is make a support thread and ask that your profile can be reset and blow your base to kingdom come.
