Can somebody help me how to launch this modpack?
FTB launcher doesn't allow more than 1 GB RAM for me without special settings. The slider maximum is at 1 GB.
Sorry, but there are not low resolution texture packs for mods. Its questionable if that would be enough, too.
Check if you computer is 32 or 64 bit. Might be you have the wrong Java. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/827218
My computer is 32-bit. But my computer have 1Gb video memory "emulated" from RAM. Why doesn't those textures load into it and not into my RAM?
The mods themselves take RAM to run as well. Large modpacks with more mods requires more RAM required. Unfortunately this is a limitation of modded minecraft and there is nothing we can do =(
How can those mods take so much RAM on client when I was able to run 1.6.4 100+ mods server with 300 MB RAM?
That doesn't sound possible. Unless you are talking about mods that were split into multiple at that time (1 mod today, 10 mods then)
I think it were split mods but there was at least 40 real mods. Took me 3 hours to build that modpack.
Modpacks continue to add more and more code all the time. Look up the RAM requirements for a game called Heroes of Might and Magic across all the versions. The original had an HDD install base of 20-50MB...now it's over 3,000MB.
I don't believe so as this modpack is pretty "heavy" in terms of big mods. This is outside our control =(
