Blood armor is kinda bad in terms of protection, and this cannot be done, as this is thaumcraft code, and i'm fairly certain someone beats you to the area and picks up the tablet then leaves or the tablet was purged from an item clear, can't help you more than that

Not off of the pedestal. They can only pick it up if you already have it and die and/or drop it. This is an intended mechanic. I would say no.
