I have tried making over a dozen (no exaggeration) portals to the nether and it keeps saying that it's blocked. I have tried making the portals all over my area from various depths and nothing.
I had no issues building a portal right next to your home, where you trying to build it correctly? Does the one I made work for you? If not try breaking the sign under it and replacing it, make sure to write portal on the top line of the sign and nothing else. let us know if it works or not ^_^
Hello. I tested the portal you built and it worked great. Thank you. I built my portal with the 10 block method. I placed the sign directly on the bottom obsidian block (on the side, not front) and it claimed to be ready. When I placed the redstone torch I even got the menu to activate the portal. This is what caused me so much frustration. It claimed that I had placed the sign correctly and yet wouldn't activate. Could you possibly look into this? Clearly, this is a bug. Thank you again.
it works with the 10 block method 90% of the time... and most people start by USING the 10 block method (it's just easier, lol)
