Decided Against Infinity - Pure Certus Quartz Crystal

As im sure some of you out there are aware, on Infinity hard mode it now takes 16h IRL time to grow a pure certus quartz crystal, therefore limiting a numerous amount of things such as quarries and AE systems. It is possible to come up with a solution to this?

• Reducing the time
• Adding Pure Quartz to the market (At a High price)

As there is currently no chunk loading options on Infinity atm, it makes it very tedious when you have to stand in the same chunk as the growing or else it takes about 8x as long. Are Crystal currently added to the blacklist when staff members force clear items? As this could cause an issue in the future if a solution isnt implemented.

 

I agree with this, But I find it that it might be better to do some trading with the items that you get for AE, Instead of a high price. To prevent early access.

 

i think the best way to do something is to add a custom recipy. not something that is to easy thought since the time it takes to grow them is really long

 

Infact that works quite well as well.

 

The recipe shuld be expensive so people would eventualy need crystal growth accelerators.

 

Any info on when the new chunkloading system is going to be applied to infinity evolved?

Because i dont see any problem in how long it takes, if just there was a way to chunk load

 

As soon as someone gets the crystal growth accelerators it wont matter anymore. I'd just let the market regulate itself once someone gets that far.

 

Maybe the custom recipe could be someone crafted using the assembly table where it takes 4h to craft the item? or have a high power requirement need to craft it.

hard to force an item to take an exact time to craft iirc, as it would be variable depending on the amount of energy one has and the amount of lasers as the RF needed to craft the item is the limiting factor in terms of speed of craft in the BC assembly table

 

four hours, sixteen hours, jesus christ on a bicycle they weren't kidding when they slapped "hard mode" over infinity

 

I think it should be renamed the "patience mode" of infinity, as you can easily automate everything but avartia's crafting table in the crafting process for the creative mana pool (i've done it before lol)

 

you can create a creative mana pool?!? well then XD, also, yes patience mode seems to fit, maybye you could craft 1 crystal (or 8 depending on what seems fair) with a crystal accelarator in the center because 16 hours seems just a TAD too much

 

As we now have the new chunk loading system on INF Evolved (There were others, just later game) This should no longer be an issue.

Also, we will not be adding items to the market to bypass parts of the pack / time sinks / config changes made to Infinity Evolved.
