So for the last day or so everyone on the crash landing server has been complaining about the lag and the tps so far has been between 10 and 15...So Is there anyway you guys(staff) could fix this? As its impossible to play with a 5-10 second delay and don't say it just me or its our internet because when 15-20 people are saying they are lagging then its not all of our internet or computers. Please fix this so we can get back to what we love;Playing on your servers.
I do apologize for your your frustration with the server lag but it could also be on your side too. Please make sure you recycle your router to clear the concern that it could be your side also and record the TPS by simply /tps. Then kindly make a ticket by doing a /ticket. The ticket will be replied to in a just a short while. Thank you and have a great day. EG
10 to 15 tps is completely playable. I've seen actions take longer (much longer) at 2 tps, but 5-10 seconds sounds like an internet latency issue
Well,I can tell its not my side as any other server gives me no lag at and in the last hour everyone got kicked from the server about 7 times,I will record the tps and post pictures soon[DOUBLEPOST=1447016448][/DOUBLEPOST] Well, just come on the server and ask around
20 tps is nominal - 10-15 tps means *multi-tick* actions take, server side, up to twice as long to complete (at 10tps) (IE - smelting, AE auto-crafting,etc). Block lag (I smacked this block, and 10 seconds later it broke), rubberbanding (I smacked this block with my pick 14 times, broke it each time, but the server still thinks its there), and random, persistant time outs (i was just running around, and got disconnected! Connected right back, and it happened again!) are all signs of an internet connection issue to the server - its either taking a long time to recieve packets from your client, is losing packets along the way, or a router between you and the server is going haywire/having issues/dropping packets due to extreme traffic/etc. We can do NOTHING about the internet between you and the server - and everything posted here is indicative of a router going bad along the route to the server. These SUCK, and I hate them, but there's honestly nothing that can be done about them (or rather, nothing that _I_ can do about it, since I'm not a network engineer). You just have to have patience, and wait for your connection quality to improve. I've looked over the server logs, and it doesn't appear that anything strange is going on.
But how can over 10 people have shi*y internet routers/modems and connections? It just doesn't make sense I mean;Mine isnt the best router and connection but when 10-15 people gets lag and kicked over 10 times in one day..Thats just no right.
We can only look into the issue while it happens so you should either create a ticket or write us a message on the public support chat.
Sorry Guys and gals to inform anyone about the "Potencial Server Lag" but I believe in Honesty is the best policy and if I can track complaints about lag issues then i wouldnt shun them away. Regardless I understand that we ALL have Access to /TPS and they are correct to say that 20 tps is nominal - 10-15 tps means *multi-tick* and that it could be our side also. However good point that we cant all be experiencing it at the same time which leads back to the hosting server. I love playing on this server but we need a break from it for awhile so we are temporarily leaving the server for a few. Some of it is due to frustration with staff responses. Tickets not being met in a timely (BZRKbadger name changed and lost his stuff over 30days no response) manner and we love to build without digging 5 blocks and our connection haulting and suffocating us in walls or flying in the nether and loosing our glider and dropping to the ground only to die. I know its the typical response from staff that it will always be User Side of interruptions/lag spikes but when the server drops 10+ people in game its not server side. That would be your Dedi dropping them or the Host server. Anyways Gents and Gals I wish you all the best in your future endeavors take care. Egons_Ghost Dave[DOUBLEPOST=1448566383][/DOUBLEPOST] This would be great to do but users dont know if they are being tracked or falling on deaf ears. Also at the time that this "Said Lag spike" does happen the first things staff does is report that there was no lag at the time of the incident and that it was on their side. maybe instead thank the user for reporting the issue and monitor when it happens and see if it becomes an issue or trend. Perhaps a certain user is logging in and causing purposly. this is what i would do not telling in no means at all sir
