1.8 Pack Coming Soon

FTB Team working on their first stable 1.8 pack; who's excited?

Edit: I have no idea if MYM Has plans for 1.8 servers! I just saw this on reddit and wanted to share with the community

 

Well, I haven't seen very many popular mods for 1.8 so this will be interesting, the only question left though, is will MYM carry it?

 

Thaumcraft 5 is the main thing I'm looking forward to using

I'm tempted to create one myself and investigate into the new features, but that'll add too much unnecessary burden on me, to pile on to my already large plate.

MrCrayfish's furniture mod is 1.8 ready. lel

If my eyes did't fail me i saw 2 mods that add a ton of content but then i again thats only mods i know off

 

I dont think i can get excited for this news.
Reason is majority of mod developers are skipping 1.8
On Curse you can compile your own 1.8 pack with all the mods... but it will still feel empty.

There are some big packs that have not been released yet for 1.7. Right now im waiting on Blood n Bones 2.0, and a few other packs from Eyamaz.

To be honest i think majority of packs will jump from 1.7.10 straight to 1.9 a few months after Mojang decides to fully release 1.9

 

True. I guess we should really be looking forward to 1.9 packs. Which will still be super hype.

 

Why are the mods skipping 1.8, in favor of 1.9?

 

A lot to do with coding changes.

FTB Unstable was released November 17. But if you look at the mods, only a few stand out.
