is there not a sever side mod/plugin that allows you to control how often it rains and for how long for and could you not just set it to rain 2 times a week or something because constant rain is not fun

Do we have anything currently that can schedule commands to happen X minutes after each restart? if so we could easily set a fixed weather pattern in place to override the normal minecraft weather behaviour, e.g.
    1. immediately after restart /weather clear 2700 (forces no rain for first 45 minutes)
    2. delayed command set to go off at 45m after restart /weather rain 900 (15 minutes of rain)
    3. 1h /weather clear 2700
    4. 1h45m /weather rain 900
    5. 2h /weather clear 3000
    6. 2h50m /weather thunder 600 (example based on infinity restart timer, at aproximately 10 minutes before the 3h restart point when the first warning message is shown it chat it should also start to thunder as a constant reminder that the restart is coming)

I fear that would be a big issue for vampires.

added a mod that allows us to customize the frequency and length of rain. It is set to about half of the default. Lets see if that is a solution.

we had to remove the mod again, it is set to be required on client side. I will ask the author if he could compile a version that does not depend on the client.

yeah i dont want to use it like insane only like once every 10 MC days cause my main power source is lightning and i use a witchery ritual to call lightning and once my power core is filled i turn back to sun IF and really only if there was no rain before the ritual

and good to know that they will still work :)

Vampires should mostly not trust the rain/lightning counter, so that should not be a problem

Vampires should live in the last millennium :p

The rain issue doesn't seem to be that big of a deal anymore, its not constantly raining like it was.

As long as you're not changing night to day, I don't really see an issue. Players made the choice to go vampire, and as such, need to pay close attention to the day/night cycle. Vampires should never depend on it being raining or cloudy.
