I'm having an issue trying to empty essentia jar since hoppers are banned so i cant use the Essentia Funnel, i have tried to use other hopper type items but none will work. I made a Tome of Alkahest and it made the wrong ID number while i saw this issue else where i couldn't find a solution and don't know if there is one. If anyone know of solutions to either of these problems I would be very grateful Short term fix discovered by chugga:
As far as I know, the Tome does not work because of a metadata issue that has yet to be fixed, there's an earlier post about it here.
Also you can empty essentia just by shift-rightclicking it. Or if you need an automate way to dispose of essentia you can use the void jar
I couldn't get it to empty and it's more that i have a bunch of Jars with one or two essentia in them and thanks i didn't know the shift right click. Didnt know if the meta isssue had been fixed since that post or if they would exchange them for ones with the correct meta.
Are you saying that the shift click to empty didint work? If anything ever does not behave in thaumcraft the first thing to check is that you used a direct ip to get on the server.
Regarding the Essentia Funnel, I believe we decided that when a player demonstrates a need for a hopper to get the Essentia Funnel working, a (Co-)Admin can come and place a single hopper for it (though obviously you would need to decide exactly where you want it before hand as you won't be able to move it yourself once it's placed). As for the Tome, as a temporary solution I have set up an IC2 Trade-o-Mat at spawn (opposite side to the Advanced Genetics Genes shop) which will trade a copy of the tome without the troublesome meta for the tome you get from the crafting recipe Could an @Admin please look into this as to be honest, the issue with the Tome should be a simple fix, either by changing the line I:tombRedstoneLimit=256 in xreliquary.cfg to either 0 or -1 (not sure which tbh but either is worth a try), or alternatively by using our crafting recipe override to make the recipe that creates the tome give one without meta, I have already verified that the one without metadata is able to be used in Alkahest crafting recipes.
