When researching the wheel it request planks but they are always different so I can't research it. Oak nor birch planks won't work but silverwood will. I am unable to test it in SP (weak computer).
In Singleplayer, you host the server yourself, and your computer deals with ticking everythings. In Multiplayer, the server does that for you.
When i try to use my old pc on a server it wont work. I have to set all to min settings and cant render more then one chunk whit 2-5 fps. But on sp i can have all on medium settings and no lag at 20-30 fps. Thats a old pc 10 year. so no the server dont do the jobb for you u ned to be abel to play sp to play on a server. The server handels all the info yes but it sending all that to your pc so it have to do it same jobb to.
Perhaps, but the server is limiting mob spawns, maxed loaded chunks and other server end scripts to limit your lag, single player has none of these.
By all means it can, mine doesn't, doubt your does, and I'm sure his doesn't so therefore sp is more laggy in this case.
In newer versions of Minecraft playing on server doesn't require many resources like SP, because you are only rendering stuff from server. But please, can you discuss this bug and not derail this thread?
Sorry, it's probably a case of a wrong id, but to my knowledge silver wood isn't hard to obtain considering a magical forest is outside spawn?
No, you're wrong and you should feel bad about it. Every calculation involving the world is made by the server (map generation, Dimension load, chunk loading) It is known that a MODDED minecraft is easier to load on a MP server than on SP, specially with all the new blocks, id and entities that many mods add. @On Topic. I was able to research the wheel, i just needed to enter/exit the GUI for the table many times until the planks match the ones I was carrying. Still, this is a bug and should be fixed.
Mod bug, ore dictionary most likely not working correctly. Unless they have minetweaker support for their crafting which I don't think there is, you can not fix it.
Exactly, i tried to work with this, but failed. For now, just enter and exit with a few types of wood.
I tested Rowan planks and even when they were shown, they weren't accepted. Then I tried willow planks and they worked even when they weren't shown at the moment. I think that silverwood and willow planks work always but it needs more testing.
I've found that it works with Greatwood planks, but only if I remove and replace the book after adding the items.
