We've been working through the quest book for the Project Ozone Server to get to the Achievement Book quest only to get something called an Invalid Item instead of the Achievement Book as a reward for the "Not done yet" quest... When I asked in Server Chat if anyone else had run into that problem, we were told that the Achievement Book's Mod had been disabled... Albeit we were a bit disappointed... I would like to suggest that perhaps that Quest be altered to show some sort of Warning or Heads Up that the Achievement Book will not actually be rewarded, and perhaps even listing what ever reasons there are for it's removal, etc... That way folks know ahead of time that the Achievement Book will not actually be given as a reward... Perhaps some other item of equivalent value, for reaching the end of your quest chains, could be put in it's place, other than a useless Invalid Item... Zip
A work around perhaps, something listed at spawn about it, or something in the beginning of the rules section, or some other location upon first entry into the server... As HQM is a big part of the Mod Pack, having a section of it missing near the end of it's completion without any hint to it being disabled beforehand, seems fixable... If not at least eased with a Band-Aid of sorts, so folks know ahead of time before spending lots of time to be surprised about it later... Zip
It would be fixable but EVERYONE would have to use the mym launcher. Since admins dont want that they cant fix the questbook. If i r3member righ the achievement book crashed the server
Achievement book causes player data file corruption - It was actually enabled for a bit, but the corrupted player files got to be a bit too much, and lucid finally pointed the cause out to me.
would it be possible to enable the book but disable opening the book? so people can finish the quests.
not without constant player data corruption, and me or another admin running over there once an hour to clear out the data files.
do you know why it's corrupting? if needed i can break a few hours this weekend and work on a fix on like sunday
