    Silent's gems has a enchant of "tree capitation". It's cheap and easy to apply :D

    thats not true john they are ok i like the thought of silent gems but its a cheap rip off version of tinkers

    Not because a weapon does not "one shot" soemthing is rubish... I know PVP in minecraft is kinda bad but you can still have some duels of more than 1 hits xD

    they are against certain op armor such as blood magic and thaum[DOUBLEPOST=1453583572][/DOUBLEPOST]no i mean take ghosts armor everytime i hit him he gains it back in seconds meaning i can do no damage to him

    What about... leaving SoL and on top of that adding Hunger Overhaul with all the buff and stuff from eating big meals? (And dropping the hunger refill of that certain "trick" to oblivion)

    Hardly. When you need to kill the other player ASAP or you may get massive FPS lag (or bad ping) and then you can't win because you can't nearly move and he can shoot you from safe distance to death.

    plus to get your weapon in tinkers to be good it takes time whitch makes it balanced[DOUBLEPOST=1453633828][/DOUBLEPOST]like rapiers to start of with they are useless but if u take some time to improve them they can be a very powerful weapon

    I think Tcon should stay, it actually has some challenge to get to the correct mining level unlike silent's gems (witch starts at manyulln+)
    nerf/remove cross and longbows, the rapier's armor ingnoration % is a config set it to 25% or 50% just not 100%.
    also we need cross/long bows and rapiers to deal with TT-KAMI, Bound (if youre a non thaumaturge scrub :3), armours because Kami will stop rapiers from attacking along with most guns and other ranged weapons. If you are so uset about rapiers get juggernaut armor it blocks rapiers. oh and no armor will stop strength 10 from various methods of items eaten during a fight *cough* gem, vamp, and a couple other things *cough*

    incorrect the supercharged tools have manyulln+
    the regular tools have diamond

    Well the point is, the moment you can mine those gems it's GG for tools. [RANT INCOMING] I cannot stand non modifiable tools like silent's which use enchants as their modifiers, I use the gems for the chaos gems and that is it, along with some ok~ish armour.
    the point is is that if people have gotten TiC tools since the begining then if it's removed then we loose our great tools, Lumber axes, hammers, swords, cleavers, picks. They are all great, TiC is "Overused" because it is a great mod with great power if you take the time to tinker and learn your favorite modifier combos, wether it be, Auto-Smelt + fortune on a pick/axe, or a CRAP-TON of haste on a pick, to literally put a arcane bore to shame, moss or Rf, or manual repair, plus it with Iguana tweaks it makes the mod harder but makes it more enjoyable in it's own way, and it makes tool part(s) replaceable.

    People enjoy other mods, I've tried using silent's gems/Immersive engineering/other tools, and i do not enjoy them nearly as much as TiC, if i had to use them from the beginning i may change my mind but in this particular instance i must stay with TiC as my tools because I've sunk more resources into my tools than i think is necessary, but use what you will, in the end it's a game, Data & mods are infinite, Servers are not, In the end we all play the same game called life, Have fun, Good luck.

    Just so you know... I prefer more options then less. That being said I also feel thinkers is overused. IF you feel thinkers should be removed, I would love for you to state alternatives. I feel that mag tools would make a nice replacement. Think it was on horisons.

    Tinkers is overused in weaponry I agree, next to the fact that it overpowering an unbalancing the pack if you could remove the weaponry that would be cool in that case Flan's weaponry would come more in play now its kinda useless and more for fun.

    On the other hand the tools are good and would not like to miss them, Lumberaxe, Hammer, Mattock, Excevator, and so on
    and then the leveling part is great fun early game not being able to go down to Y11 and hunt for any ore you can find.

    I feel that we have many viable alternatives in the pack already, i took the botania route, there is also thaumcraft, blood magic, mekanisim, probably something for immersive enginering, for better mining and weapons.

    with the pack, if you take out igauna tweaks, tinkers becomes redundant.

    Edit, totally forgot about the health canisters....

    or just leave it alone entirely if we keep disabling stuff there will be nothing left, leave rapiers, crossbows etc.

    and eventually someone else will get mad at something cause its "OP" when a lot of things are, if you cant find a way to counteract it then too bad, deal with it

    I mean, honestly I feel like Rapiers should be left in. Otherwise someone with a sufficiently powerful Blood Magic set-up, (Especially if they use multiple Altars) will be quite literally invincible.
