Unknown if this was purposeful or not, but tofu used to be usable in all recipes as a meat replacement but is not anymore.
If playing 1.1.3 version, mod author changed the recipes for tofu usage few weeks ago, its been removed from most of them do to it making it too easy to get good food without animals. Can't make a few other things as well, like ender quarries.
