MFR Laser

So I wanted to know what focus I should use for the ores I want so I set up a little system
and let it run for 13 hours straight.

Just an addition: MFR Drills do not generate Nether Iridium Ore.

 

Does the amount of foci in the drill have any effect?

 

im sure they do, as the chance is increased per focus, i ran the test with full drill of focus of that colour though

 

I am very experienced with the mfr laser system the best way to mine is by making a automated system. Have a Laser with 4 preloaders and have the foci on red x6 this will produce tons of redstone. Put the redstone into a pulverizer exporting into a magma crucible and pipe the destabalized redstone to 5 heated redstone generators per preloader. This will produce an infinite miner and still have tons of resources to spare. Once you have 3/4 of these set ups you could have a lot of laserrs to mine other materials
