Last month we had multiple players join our network and use insecure packets from various mods to grief or spawn items, these players have been manually banned. During this time I started to create a patch for every exploit in all these mods with insecure packet handling. These patches have been active for a few weeks now. They not only prevent these exploits from working, but also permanently ban the offenders. It's impossible to trigger the ban for those who don't modify packets.
Thanks! A list of character, not account names would.... no wait, I'm sure you also tracked down any claims / chests they might have had and reverted them to vanilla. Never mind.... Overthinking. It's a real thing.
When we handled these cases we were extremely thorough and made sure we missed as little as possible. Though, if you do come over something, let us know No need to actively think about it, all traces of the culprits are most likely gone.
These exploits are not any low-level glitches that you just happen upon; They required conscious effort to execute. Pressing some random keys aren't gonna modify packets. If you have tried to use these exploits since they were patched, you would've been banned. If you're not banned, you haven't tried these exploits. It's that simple. Furthermore, MyM doesn't really discuss bans outside of the ban-appeals section of this forum; and then only to the involved parties.
