Info Ferret Business - Reset & Update [Saturday 16th April]

Due to the recent updates with Ferret a reset is required to implement the new world-gen. This will happen this Saturday 16th April. The server will be updated to version: 0.1.3

New Server

The new server will have the same IP:
ferret-mym.li

Hard-Reset

As always it will be a hard reset. That means inventories, MyM's, Claims.. will not carry over.

Base Download

Those that would like to continue on their bases in single player or on their own server are welcome to request a base download during the next few days. To request please comment below with the following information:

It doesn't say "RWG" so I suppose it's just "overworld". Either way, when I go to spawn, that's the portal I go through. It just confuses me because when I go into realistic, it's the same world. I have the same things...I can still /home. There are still a lot of things I don't quite understand about MC, or FTB specifically yet. Mainly because I never bothered to figure it out. I was always used to playing regular MC on Faction servers. XD Thanks for the help Tyler!

Same! I've read more about this pack and it looks like something more than just a crapton of mods packed in together (*ahem* Infinity *ahem). It's always nice to play something a little bit different ^^

The /wd you guys installed on infinity was very good, so I would not mind that you did that kind of world download. Only snag was that the world gen had obviously changed so my base was an island in a quagmire instead of a hill on a plain.

 

Did u use the same seed?

 

It downloads the world and creates a new world in your game directory. You just select it and play it as singleplayer. It must have been the same seed since the cave structures below the surface are still the same allthough some lava is water and some water is gone. But the caves are the same. Its just the stuff above water level that is different. Some forest is now quagmire and the patch of extreme hills and plains is now marshland.

 

Which in itself is a good reason for a Nuke&Pave as we said back in the ~90s
