Have you every faced a Creeper and blown up? Or found yourself lost in a jungle and you didn't know your way home? Or even have needed a quick escape from a battle? Well with the Superheroes Unlimited Mod, now you can! You are born to be a hero so suit up, the journey is just beginning. Since pixelmon is implemented in this server (although it isn't as popular as the modpacks) Maybe you could build a server around another mod. That mod is SuperHeroesUnlimited. It's a great mod that I enjoy playing on and it provides a challenge for all players. You can change certain features in the mod that can cause grief to happen. The mod link is here ---->superheroes. The link to a guide to change some features ----> superheroes.
Honestly, I say we just close down Pixelmon. There are many other mods like this Superhero mod that is available on other modpacks. One modpack is NERO.
yeah, but if pixelmon was removed, it could clear space for a new server, or maybe allow that server's allocation to modpack servers that are a tad resource extensive, like sf2.5 (quite unfortunately, tps drops on a couple occasions)[DOUBLEPOST=1465404975][/DOUBLEPOST]#iblamethosepeoplewithinefficientbasesetups
The way i see it is that if pixelmon truly doesn't require alot of resources (as stated by SirStudMuffin) it would make sense to me that the server pixelmon is running on would be virtualized, most likely leeching off an already existing server. That being said, i'd like to disclaim something: I am not an insider and therefore cannot confirm what i just said. These are only my thoughts and not reality.
why would you ever run a VM inside of a linux server? that's called making it absolutely pointless, as the VM takes alot to run, it's a datacenter with a RAID array (most likely, my god i will scream if it isn't (or if it's raid0, but that's another story)), but anways iirc it's different racks for each server
What i was thinking was virtualizing a machine using a hypervisor. VM's on a linux server is (like you said before) simply stupid. PS: I doubt they use RAID 0 since that would impose some serious flaws. And if they are using RAID 0, i pray to god they switch to something more redundant. PSS: Also Spoiler Thanks for telling me though
yhea, the server runs on linux, as anyone who actually runs a server knows is a good idea, i'm not sure if they use a RAID array, but yhea, it's not a VM
