Well this has been a question of mine for awhile now, what is the point of the Minecraft EULA and why is Mojang trying to stop so many servers from gaining money, for example recently there was a new addition which was for major servers basically saying they cant sell certain items for the game? Are they doing this to try to improve players experience and not to buy their way through the game?

Selling items has always been a part of the eula, the idea of it basically is you cant make money of any items in the game or added by mods. You can sell access to servers and certain commands but thats about it
