Would allow people to easier identify gym leaders and ask to battle I know this would be hard to do but it's worth a try
Gyms are still an unknown area. It may be a better option to just add this server side Gym Wars 2: Feebas Unleashed - Pixelmon Wiki This will make setting up the gyms a tab bit easier. But that leaves us with the next issue. How many players are there and how many want to be gym leaders? With the amount of badges there are... almost everyone possibly can be a gym leader... so what would be the point? (as of now) I think a better option for now is to host a "pokemon league" which is tournaments. Once all players are ready 4+, you can start. As a "reward", there can be a buy in and at the end, winner takes all.
What i said to snek was that we have a player run gyms and NPC gym leaders The NPC gym leaders will take you from lvl 1 to 100 the player gym leaders will be lvl 100 This way players can still fight leaders and progress but wont be able to fight players until they are properly ready
Were you not in Teamspeak yesterday when we were talking about Gyms? This is pretty much what i said that i would like to see. But the logistics of it... meaning a way to control the distribution of the badges..ect For the time being, you can make a Book and Quill for you gym, signed by you. So if you are the water gym leader, Type in the Book "Rain Badge" Player defeated SirStufMuffin, then sign it. Since only you can sign a book to make it legit, it can be the temp badge. Lets see if that "place" item can be organized. As for NPC gyms, i want them to be the Gen 1 badges, and i gave my reasons for that... so anything other that Gen 1 is ok to be used.
Sorry i was at work at the time By the looks of the mod you suggested that would solve the issues, only allowing gym leaders to do those commands For now untill we find a way to distribute badges ill use something else
Very nice, i was unaware of this. @johnfg12 this will help with the Gyms a lot, if you are still trying to head that.
what if there were multiple gyms of each type for each lvl range (ex. From 1-10 20-30 40-60 etc) and if you were to make custom tags they could show what lvl range each leader is, or u could just forget that and have each leader have multiple teams for each range...
If you mean a badge on the forums for being a gym leader that's too much of a hassle because if you loose your position (I'm assuming that's how it's going to work) to someone who beats you then someone (staff with the perms) needs to remove your badge and add it to someone else and keep repeating the process if people keep taking over gyms from their leaders. Edit: I'm scrub and didn't read the title which said tag ._.
