Ideas for my Post Apocalypse mod.

    At the moment. I am making a post apocalyptic mod that has more world types to generate a post apocalyptic wasteland. Currently i am planning on 2 types ( i want more but idk whatbelse to add) the 2 types are nuclear and artic. if you have any ideas or questions please suggest/ask them here.

    How about radiation/cold damage depending on the biome you are in?(for nuclear and arctic respectively) And special suits to protect against it, or upgrades for your existing armor.
     
  5. nuclear can have mutated stuff, like creepers are mutations from plants. Example- vampire bats/some flying creep, telepathic bigheaded villagers, etc. For arctic, Yeti.

    I would like to have some kind of a worldgen that is only ocean, maybe ocean level could be higher than 63. Also breathing underwater should be reduced, similar as Mariculture does it.

    I don't know if it is possible, but maybe nuclear theme and you have to be hidden from radiation using suit or special blocks will lead in them. Add enviromine with air quality (everywhere has to be bad air quality), so you have to obtain clean air using filters (wall mounted or portable) and thirst too with some underground rivers and surface lakes but all of the water will be dirty and irradiated.
    Big part of the modpack should be scavenging the destroyed cities and working with nuclear reactors in your base (remember, there is huge amount of radioactive material everywhere so it can be collected somehow (sieves, barrels or something completely else).

    all sound easy enough. i will add a new apocalypse called idk global warming apocalypse or something for the flooded world. as for the enviromine i could just have it as a dependancy and add something to make the worlds difficult. keep in mind this is a mod not a mod pack lol. and i will probably have something that if the player is above a certain y level that they will become irradiated with out the suit. maybe i will do something woth the leaded blocks. but i may just have them for the roof. not sure atm. the mobs will be added too. not sure how i feel about flying creepers but we shall see. maybe something like the knigts from ender zoo i think. that look like a few mobs smashed together. but yeah

    Really neat idea! Best of luck to you on this. When you make any further progress you should keep us posted :D

    I really do like the idea of new mobs... especially if we're talking about radiation and nuclear stuffs. Think mobs that are way different than the standard vanilla ones are mostly what I look forward to seeing in a new mod I'm exploring.

    i most defiantly will. there is of course one issue. my art skills. i suck at it. so far i have taken vanilla textures and changed the hue/saturation. so if anyone here is good at making textures. or is better then me. let me know. i will want to see an example of what you can do so if you want to help with the textures make a texture for a charred log. a log that was burnt by nuclear radiaton. thanks in advance. i will continue coding and hope for a texture artist :)

    I have an idea: you need prepare to "extreme apocalypse". The extreme apocalypse should be not-liveable without protection. Like hurricane, acid rain. You will have to make some extreme (not so extreme :D) protection on hurricane, acid rain etc. You will have like 20 minecraft days to prepare for apocalypse
