Being one of the newest members of this network I will say this, This is by far the the most well run server network I have ever been a member of. The drama of this makes me irratated at those who have caused it. Although I had no idea about it, I wanted You the staff to know that I think you are great. And with that, pppffffttt on any who have no idea what it takes to keep something like this together and running.
i left coz of the state of pixelmon :/ it STILL hasnt been updated/fixed or anything[DOUBLEPOST=1480876433][/DOUBLEPOST]and ill stay gone till a member of staff is assigned to run it who cares[DOUBLEPOST=1480876579][/DOUBLEPOST]i even log onto slack like every week to say hi but players just arnt there in the state the server is in what can you expect im highly disappointed in myms maintenance and involvement i dont want to be banned/removed from forums but i just want to make my point across on the state of some servers its not always about whats "new" and good for making money i could make myms pixelmon make thousands as i know it can
Its strange because the first words in that song sound very much like a swear word might just be me though
I leave the forums for a month or so and I see that stuff like this has happened. Jeez... I did not expect for this of all things to happen. No joke.. (the thing that brought me back to the community was me editing my FaceBook.) But I hope that because of this, no one does the same thing. EVER. It's also a shame, SirStudMuffin was one of the first people I talked with when joining back in June.
^ lol same, I'd love to hear a full story, if not here on this thread, then on PM - I wasn't even aware of secret advertisers :>
Sooner or later someone was gonna burst out of the bubble which is MYM, Stud just happened to be the first but, I dare say, not the last.[DOUBLEPOST=1480946331][/DOUBLEPOST] Wanna know something intresting? A long time ago, I was chilling out at/on/in slack, talking about this server with amazing, mind boggling builds when someone(a staff member) crashes our party and chews me out for advertising said server. Guess what? The server's name is Westeroscraft and MyM is literally advertising it on the home page.(The background is from Westeroscraft, credit given to them). Hypocrisy at its finest!
Now that I think of it Im starting to think this thread (along with muffins leaving thread) is getting more people to leave than muffin's 'advertising'
You ever read Harry Potter? This is exactly what happened when that frog faced woman banned the magazine with Harry's interview from Hogwarts. The outcome was that everyone found a way to read it. Hence proved-"History repeats itself"
So we should allow rule breakers to go unpunished? MyM has always been strict with the no advertizing rule as stated on mym.li/rules. The apoligests in this thread is sad to see.
Wow, that words weights like a thousand tons when translated into my native language. Didn't knew it would ever be used on MyM. Just Wow. PS Your post is a beautiful piece of literature, graceful, even.
You can burst out of that bubble without trying to sabotage players from a different network, which is going to cause problems on each side - both networks may lose either players or reputation. Huh? They have taken the background (probably asked for permission as well) and credited the authors. This is not advertising, this is giving credit to an artwork. This isn't hypocrisy either. If what you say is true and the Westeroscraft network is engaged, you also need to take into account that both that network and MyM might be helping each other in some way. In that case or another, Slind's approach to those people is entirely justified. Also, regarding the first post: This is exactly how to NOT get new players. Responsible staff members of such a network would exclude everyone from their network who's trying to sabotage players this way.
I'm not talking about Stud recuiting people, but the fact that he quitted MyM and some will follow his example. Already said that they have credited the Westeroscraft guys. This also means that they have already mentioned Westeroscraft at least once on the network, then why stop us from talking about the same thing because of which they chose the picture in the first place?(In this case, the beautiful scenery) Hence proved-"People never pay enough attention to details"
Yeah but people leaving by themselves to another network is not a problem. And yes, they mentioned Westeroscraft, but in a different context - as the authors of an artwork, not as a network of servers. That's the key here.
Well tbh there's a lot more that happened that most don't know. Behind the scenes this is not as simple as stud advertised.
That's why I asked for a full story, right now I'm only assuming from what I've read and what I've been told :>
We dont have a problem with another network and we never had till now. Our point is that the behaviour of certain staff-members of the mentioned network towards us is the problem why we are distancing us from them
