The Scanner for thaumcraft isnt giving me any new aspects or more of aspects i already have when i scan things, it will tell me things like torches having 1 "candle" but its not represented at my research table...
There is a hard cap in thaumcraft where after so many aspects you do not get any more until you lower the current amount that you have.

It's like a house. The legitimate way to get in is through the door. But by going through lobby, Thaumcraft doesn't realize it and thinks you're sneaking in a back window, calls the cops, and refuses to have anything to do with you. By disconnecting and reconnecting directly, you're walking in the door again. And Thaumcraft sees you and offers you something to drink and cookies. Okay, it's a stupid analogy, but it works!
