Should not be but thier is an open issue on github about the first one. We would need an Admin to check on the second.
In the server I've never seen a solidified experience drop, but i got some from chugga. I think their drop rate is set to low. I've tested it in single player and it drop 1 when i killed 5 mobs. For the slime island, i saw 2-3 per 300 blocks when I was flying in single player. This test was made 2 days after I wrote this thread and since it updated, I don't know if it changed.
