Implemented Death while exiting the Nether

I went to the nether and when i returned i fell thru the floor and died and lost all my loot.

I'm pretty sure I did no such thing. I went to spawn and back multiple times and I didn't die.

 

Is there a command to change the location of the spawn on the island, so I could put it on my main platform.

 

If you type "/is" a menu will come up, I believe it is the Vanilla Bed item which sets your island home/spawn location.

 

I'm not the owner of the island and that guy is never online, he didn't give me any perms and i can't do anything. Is it possible to give me permissions so i can do stuff on the island?
