Started thread that was marked closed explaining issue here for reference: Done - Launcher Keeps Crashing ? | MineYourMind Community Since that time launcher has crashed randomly, and today March 5, 2017 it has crashed 3 times in less than an hour - so I am baffled. Have attached all 3 crash reports for today hoping somebody can help.
Hello RuhHoo, are you able to log into the server? By what you said, i assume you can, the crash was caused by a barrel at -1459,48,3573 could you please remove this and see if its any better. Was in the middle of editing in what Colin said, but he beat me to it
Hey there, All are due to a barrel on your base. This issue is known and it is caused by a mod that we add called "Fastcraft" which helps improve performance. In order to solve this, you will have to navigate to the mods folder and remove it from there, but you may experience lower frame rates. As you pulled the crash logs, I assume you know how to pull mods and I wish you good luck with that. Please get back to us in a bit with some results. Thanks! -Colin
Interesting since barrels located at -1459,48,3573 are birch barrels. Will replace with oak barrels and pull fastcraft folder if absolutely necessary. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Appreciate all the moderators, admins and founders who dedicate their time and service. EDIT Went ahead and removed fastcraft in mod folder and now instant crash when opening game, so maybe should have just left it as removing barrels as planned.
There seems to be an error within minecraft while joining, have you tried force updating the pack and relaunching? if that doesnt work, please uninstall and do a clean reinstall and try again
Yes I forced updated it without fastcraft and game still crashed so then forced updated it again with fastcraft and now it works again. Hate to lose my whole island since I have it at max size with a lake and landscape so will stop messing with removing files and such.
Hey there, Removing fastcraft is almost guaranteed to fix the issue. The issue is that you Force Updated the modpack again. If you remove a mod, all you need to do is re-launch. To remove the mod, navigate to the Mods folder in the desired instance of Minecraft, locate fastcraft and drag it out to the desktop or delete it entirely. Once you have done that, just reload the client and you should not crash any longer. Please let us know how it goes. -Colin
Oh okay. I would ask that you still remove the mod as a safety measure. I will mark this as done as it appears you have solved the issue. Thank you for contacting us. -Colin Owen/Twisty Edit: Reopened this thread
I did exactly what you said and didn't force reload the client until I couldn't get game going.[DOUBLEPOST=1488771640,1488755250][/DOUBLEPOST]Latest crash-report running with fastcraft, and can't launch game if I remove fastcraft from mod folder and restart client. Log for instant crash @ after restarting launcher without fastcraft in mod folder.[DOUBLEPOST=1488773130][/DOUBLEPOST]Another instant crash log after completely restarting my pc trying to run game without fastcraft in mod folder. [DOUBLEPOST=1488774587][/DOUBLEPOST]This log is after force updating without fastcraft option clicked and not in mods folder then restarting entire PC. Game still instant crashes - So not sure what else I need to do to run it. [DOUBLEPOST=1488817708][/DOUBLEPOST]ok so much for asking for help on a support forum - Did everything that was suggested and now left hanging to figure it out myself ? Basically from what I gather I'm just supposed to toss all my work into the garbage and start over ? There should be a better solution than that.
Thanks for being impatient. Do you have this issue only on your island or also at the spawn? In what interval does the crash happen? Do you remember what you placed in your base before this started?
