my game keeps freezing when launching, it always freezes at step 2/7 , at 70/209 (custom things) or at 61/209 (chance cubes) , it doesn't actually crash "properly" so i don't have a crash-report, i'll post the logs though. seems to be something with endercore, since that is usually the last thing in the logs. saw somewhere i need to allocate more ram, but i think 8 gigs is enough no? (last few lines of the logs from the debug) 2345 bdlib Config loading for mod Compacter finished 2345 Convenient Recipes Removed some recipes for replacement. 2346 EnderCore Attempting to initialize texture error message interceptor. i'll post the full log in a bit, pastebin is being dumb got the logs: https://pastebin.com/YPc0P2RU
1. whats your amount of allocated ram 2. have you got any custom texture packs enabled 3. is fastcraft on or not?
i allocated 6.5 gigs (i have 12 in total) 2. nope 3. it is on as far as i know, i'll disable it and see if it will help[DOUBLEPOST=1493330602,1493329934][/DOUBLEPOST] still crashes, same problem
no, using the curse/twitch launcher (wich is the biggest piece of crap ever FYI). guess i'll try using the MYM launcher
the mod part of it is good, all the social stuff is pretty obsolete[DOUBLEPOST=1493334301,1493332141][/DOUBLEPOST]same crash with the MYM launcher
so anyone know why it freezes?[DOUBLEPOST=1493346352,1493343935][/DOUBLEPOST]removing endercore and enderio fixes it, but obviously i need those mods to play on the server
You only ever need to allocate a maximum of 4GB to minecraft. Have you tried updating java/graphics drivers?
welp, i let it run while i was sleeping and it magically worked, it took 30 minutes to boot up. that's very odd, but at least it works for now[DOUBLEPOST=1493381320,1493377365][/DOUBLEPOST]i now freeze when joining the server :/
Yes you "can" allocate more but anything over 4GB becomes redundant after a period of time due to java's garbage collector tool. More RAM = Larger heap size for GC to work through = Service running the background for longer = Slows down your game. What are your system specs? Could be that Java might be running off of your integrated graphics rather than your dedicated GPU (probably not the case). There also could be the possibility that you have a memory leak. What are your % in task manager? Finally, have you tried full deleting the minecraft instances and reinstall them?
i have a very shitty laptop, my pc got stolen awhile ago, it has an i3 and intelhd3000, and 12 gb of ram, however now when joining, after 10 minutes i get kicked for being afk and i get back to the main menu, and if i join THEN i succesfully join. a bit of a hassle, but it works untill i get a new pc
