   For some reason i don't have a Perditio Aura node on my island, has it de-spawned? did i smash it by accident? I can't do Thaum if i can't recharge my wand

   You can find nodes in the nether and you can charge it with mobs. At the start there was not any node on the island and you could do thaumcraft without problem.
