RIP my OG chernobyl-in-a-box, you died to a mouse bug. Oh, and hamster2464 named his dog chernobly. Also, IC2 is a real pain in the rear when it comes to doing just about anything. for example, metal former is a tier 1 machine, yet it uses energy faster than a generator can produce it.
It's very hard to manage power levels vs machines sucking down your power. If you try to push in too much, BOOM. If you try to push in the wrong level, BOOM. If you cross your wires in the wrong way, BOOM. Warning: In your learning how to IC2, your machines will go BOOM.
You aren't right. Only times when my IC2 machines went boom were when I wanted to or when I was combining them with other mods (tekkit legends has something that converts mj/rf to eu).
The IC2 reactor is not like the Chernobyl one, as it uses cells for coolant, (which isn't really practical, so I doubt it has a real-life equaliment at all). The Chernobyl reactor was an RBMK1000 reactor, which was a very common reactor type in the soviet union back then as it was convinient, cheap, easy to use and efficient. It also was never used in the west due to not being all that safe (althrough the operators in Chernobyl still had to behave like re... monkeys for a few hours unthil to make the thing break). The Minecraft equaliment of this type of reactor is a Big Reactors reactor with a turbine (except the thing can never blow up and the controll rods seem pretty useless).
im using ic2 for first time i havent blow em up i mean its just an order from keeping tier 1 machines on LV tier 2 on MV and tier 3 on HV i mean its not so hard just think before u place something
I didn't wikipedia it. I watched a series of videos (3 episodes, 1 hour total) about it on youtube a few months ago and still remember some things. Not gonna link to it, as I'm currently in China and youtube is blocked. It was in polish anyways.
