Making use of the topic close function

Dear Mine Your Mind Staff members. (This message is more focused on the moderators of the MineYourMind Forum).

Often I see topics from members who have questions for example. Very nice that they use the forum, but I annoy myself to topics are not closed after a good answer has been given. I am used to myself as a forum moderator that I always close topics after a clear and correct answer has been given, and / or if the topic is superfluous, ect.

I think that there would be more overview on the forum so that members know where they might be able to help with, for example, a good answer to the question of a member.

I have already had a number of times I saw a topic of a member with a question, responded by, for example, a moderator, or another member with a good answer, but the topic is not closed.

Hopefully this is a good tip, and is this useful so that there is a little more overview on the forum!

In addition, I think everything is well arranged and everything is well moderated.

I personally think such threads shouldn't be locked after an answer has been given, as it creates the need for the user to create another toppic if the solution is not right, and doesn't allow other people to warn the author if the solution can cause problems in the future.

 

Make Topic -> Declare it as Question -> Solution 1 Given -> Solution 2 Given -> Solution 3 Given -> Solution 3 Declared as Best Solution -> Thread Closed because of Best Solution -> People Read

As I have already mentioned in my message: topics can only be closed by a moderator after giving a good answer. If a topic in the future can cause problems, the topic can still be edited, reopened, or declared invalid.

Maybe it's also possible that really good explanation topics get a special topic tag, so people know it's a verified topic and that it's really the right explanation.

 

We try to mark every solved problem with the "Done"-Tag. Sadly sometimes a few threads gets overlooked etc thats why they are not marked.

 

And/or auto-verification for long-time and mature users

 

Even a long time and mature user can give wrong answers.

 

Absolutely right, But they Can get manually verified as good answer.
