I did set up two wind turbines at y: 160 and connected them to my MFE at y: 83. It does not work. I decided to try using the EU Reader to see what is going on, and it seems as though, at a certain point, the cables stop transmitting power; from 160EU/t to zero. Upon breaking the first cable reading 0EU/t, the server went down - this has not happened anymore. I moved the MFE up to the point where the cables seemed to work, and, for a brief period of time, the MFE charges - after a while, it magically stops receiving power. Poking, actually hitting once or twice the cables above the MFE, somewhat resets them and it starts receiving power again. Any clue what is going on?
Given that the average minecraft player wouldn't even know what cauldron is (aside from the one you craft with 7 iron ingots in a U shape!) never mind why it might be effecting ic2 windmills, perhaps posting more than just two words would be more helpful
U made sure all the setup is in one chunk, if not, you're using chunkloader? That might also cause problems.
A 3x3 chunk area is loaded around it. Unless a chunk is not vertically infinite, thus requiring to load the upper portion of the build, chunkloading should not be an issue.
From what I know, the server is using the cauldron engine in order to load both plugins and mods at once. There were a lot of reports about issues similar to this one and admins were unable to fix them. Combined with the fact that cauldron is known for being buggy, it's very likely that the bug is caused by it. I might be completelly wrong tho. P.S. No, my account has not been compromised by timeleg.
Physically poking the fiber cable does not solve the issue. Up until a specific y level relative to the position of the MFE, the latter just will not charge. Going above that specific y level - which does seem to be that of the MFE - does so it receives power and thus charge. Also, the durability of the rotors inside the Wind Turbines does not decrease from 99%. Definitely looks like a plugin/Cauldron issue. Is there anywhere I can report this, although somewhat off topic to ask here? IC2/Cauldron GitHub, maybe?
Have u tried other EU generators what age Are u in and can u build a nucklear reactor i Can supply u the reactor design when i get home from work in around 9 hours
Once you get to age 10, make Techreborn wind mills. You get 2 per crafting and each one produces 16 eu/t (output is 128 eu packets) and they work even inside at full capacity.
A ic2 reactor is the Best bet for a Lot of Early eu the only catch is the uranium u need and that takes a thermal centafuce and ofc a hazmatz suite
Probably best to get confirmation from an admin as to whether Cauldron is even on the server before posting to it's issue tracker it's been a while since I saw things at MyM from the back-end but AFAIK all the 1.10 servers use Spongeforge, so their issue tracker would be where to post this bug if it is indeed at fault, in fact I'm pretty sure that Cauldron isn't even available past 1.7 and no-longer in development.
