is there something i need to do to allow resturbed spawners to be able to work on my claims? it worked before awhile ago but when i tried to make a grinder today nothing would spawn i gave the spawner grid power redstone signal removed lights and nothing happened.
I just tested this out on AoE N2 and it worked fine for me on my claim. Which node are you on? If you would like I can come check it out? Let me know!
How many other mobs was there in the surrounding chunks? you may have hit the local mob limit due to random mobs underground etc (whenever a mob tries to spawn the server checks how many mobs are in the 3x3 chunks centred on the one it is trying to spawn in, and if enough mobs are already nearby then it prevents the spawn from happening), I had exactly the same issue with a resturbed spawner I had set up on a small island in the middle of the ocean, because there was so many squids in the surrounding water that I was over the mob limit, however once I crafted and placed down an Aversion Obelisk from EnderIO with a squid soul-vial in it and killed all the existing squids, then the resturbed spawner started working consistently again. @Tipsied Easiest way to test if you do go take a look at Buddha's spawner is stand on the spawner and use the /butcher command with a radius of around 60 as that should kill every mob within the surrounding area giving the resturbed spawner a chance to successfully trigger a spawn event, if it starts spawning for a bit but eventually stops again once more random mobs have spawned underground then it is definitely the local mob limit that is stopping the spawner from working.
Since we haven't heard back for awhile now, I will go ahead and close this thread. If you find that you are still having this problem, feel free to reopen this thread. PS thanks for the tips ^^ @chaosblad3 -Tipsied
